Gem of a restaurant in St. Andrews, our favourite place to eat when visiting this historic town. There are only 6 tables making it cosy but large enough as not to feel crowded when eating. We picked their meal deal today, 3 dishes for under 12, all the food which came to the table was excellent, couldn't fault any of it, clean plates all round. They have a full bar and serve soft drinks, teas and coffee. Prices are on par with other establishments in the area.They also have a take away area downstairs for food collection. The server today was polite, prompt and well presented. Toilets are available for customers. Unfortunately the dining area is up a set of stairs, the take away section is down a few stairs, the gents toilets are down a set of stairs to the rear of the dining area as well, so it will not suit wheelchair users.
Best Chinese in Scotland. We were in St Andrews for 12 nights and kept going back. Great flavour crispy vegetables. Fantastic menu. Highly recommended
Have been a regular here for a year or so. Ordered a dozen times without a single error so far, in general pretty good. I am deeply in love with their Malaysian Fried Rice
A good place for dine in and pick up, even home delivery is available. The food is authentic and full of flavour. All salutes to staff and the Cook.
My girlfriend and I made a day out of travelling to St Andrews and were both craving a Chinese meal... we were not disappointed. I have had the best beef curry and egg friend rice I’ve ever had in my life... and finished off with a fantastic banana split we’ll definitely be spending the hour and a half travel more often to visit this fantastic small restaurant. 10/10
Had craving for some Chinese, although mixed reviews I tried and I can say this place does great authentic Chinese food and does it well. I had the beef fried flat noodles, a classic dish, bak choi with garlic, a simple staple dish and added a salt pepper ribs, which were great!
Kind, attentive staff and good food at a decent price. After trying them all, I can say it’s definitely the best Asian restaurant in town
As is the usual story, it was embarrassingly the first time I had eaten at The Oriental House. The food , service and overall I was delighted and enjoyed being in this long established St Andrews restaurant.
